Wooh~~

Didn't know that yesterday was the Saturday that people celebrated Halloween. My last celebration was like four or five years ago!! Haha~~ Well anyway, popped by at my new unit yesterday morning to inspect the surroundings. Went to gym after that, and while gymming, a couple came in! Well may not be a couple but confirmed two salahs.. Haha~~ One of them is familiar though. Seen his profile somewhere. ;)

Showered after my gym and proceeded down to Shaw Plaza to catch the movie, "All About Love" starring Andy Lau. I felt like crying these few days however there is no reason for me to do so. That's why I went to watch this movie. Nice one for those who wana cry.. Haha~~ =D

After the movie, I went Heerens to look for something. However the thing I wanted is not there. Probably I didn't really search detail enough. Nevermind. By the time I left Heerens was about 7plus. Hmm.. Then I decided to drop by at Holland V Coffee Club, because Eddy is working there!! Wanted to see how is he doing and also wanted to see if there's any changes to that Coffee Club. My last visit to it was like 8 years ago. Holland V's Coffee Club re-visited, still the same old one. =)

Shane asked me over to Tantric at about 9plus. Decided to have dinner (Tomato soup, some chicken thigh fillet, mudpie and peach tea) at Coffee Club and popped at Tantric around 10. That was when I realised that it was the night to celebrate Halloween! Stayed there, drank and chatted with his friends until 1am when I left for home. So sinful. Gymed, then spoilt myself with food and alcohol. =(

Ivan was angry for not informing him that I will return home late. So guilty. =(

First Impressions

First Impressions.
What are they actually?
Putting the best smile that you can offer?
Bringing out the most attractive side of you?

Why do we need to impress people the first time we meet?
Is is really your true self at that point of time?
Will you maintain that state till the end of time?

Projecting the best image everytime you step out of your house.
Why?
Anyone in the streets can be someone you will get to know next time.
Yeah that's it.
Maintain that image outside and remove the mask once you get home.

First Impressions.
It's a competition out there to get the "Most fake and plastic self" award.
It's tiring ya?

The first piece of news I heard from my colleague today when I stepped in the office is, Punggol flats are open for sale!!! Yes!! Finally after a long wait!! Well not exactly a long wait, but at least a month. But gosh! Mum and sis in Malaysia, so no one to consult on what to do!!! Luckily we had went to recce the area physically and know which blocks are taken into considerations. Hehehe~~

Went to HDB Hub before lunch to do the necessary stuff to get the queue number. Spent some time there, and finally got my appointment for selection next Wednesday!! Yey~~ Need to monitor my targeted flat whether has it been taken on Monady or Tuesday.

So happy that I can finally have the first step into getting a new flat. More obstacles to come, I believe.

Stayed in office till close to 8. Did some scanning of the HDB booklets and emailed to sis for her inputs. In the end, she did not receive anything while she's at the cyber cafe. I told her to try tomorrow and revert back to me. *Yawnz*

Trying to sleep as early as possible recently. Don't know why but feeling tired easily these few days. Somemore with such cooling weather at night, who wouldn't? Heh...

Woo~~ Wore uniform almost the whole day today!! Commander's Parade in the morning, followed by AOP for Firewalking in the afternoon~~ Woke up earlier than usual days today. *Yawnz*

Gonna be deployed for Deepavali Firewalking on 23rd Oct!!! From night till next day afternoon~~ Yey!! 12hours shift once again! I feel so cultural this month with the praying of the Chinese deities, visiting Geylang Serai and soon Little India~~~ Hahaha!!

Went to Plaza Singapura after work. Wanted to get a gift however I can't find the suitable one. Sigh. Went to Carrefour instead. Hope to get some coffee candies for my coming 12-hour shift but can't find any at the shelf. WTF!! Can't seen to get what I want this evening. Damn it. Walked around the food section, and saw something which mum wanted to buy. Hmmm.... Abalone sauce. Called mum to confirm with her that she wants it. OKIES! I grabbed a basket and placed one bottle of Abalone sauce in it and continued my shopping. Grabbed cheese cake. Grabbed packets of candies. Grabbed more packets of candies. Ah har.. Candies are for my nephews~~ I only kept a packet of marshmallows with chocolate fillings!!! I JUST love marshmallow with chocolate fillings!!! Hiak hiak hiak!!!!!

There's one incident so funny!!! I was looking for bacon bits and I couldn't find it as well. So I approached a Carrefour staff and asked him. He looked quite blur at first, but subsequently with an enlightened look and he said, "ah!! ok ok.. i show you where!" In the end, he showed me BAKED BEANS.... *sweat*

Back at home with a pair of tired eyes. *Yawnz*
ah beng : ehh.. wah lao! got tourist place kena bombed by suicide bomber again leh!

ah beng : ehh.. shot to death? you think it will work meh? shoot what? shoot their leftover bodies is it???

Chinese Traditions, Muslim Customs

Went out with my mum to pray at Nine Emperors God Temple. This month is the lunar ninth month where people with Taoist beliefs pray to the Nine Emperors. Normally people will flock to Kusu Island this time of the year however for those who do not have the time, devotees can choose to pray at this temple too.

After praying and telling the deities of our wishes, we went to have some vegetarian food and green bean soup served by the helpers of the temple. Then mum told me to call sister down to pray, and tell her there's vegetarian food as well. I was like.. "Huh?" I immediately told her that if one is devoted enough to come down and pray, there's no need to use food or other material for motivation. Then she laughed. Geez..

We then make a trip down to Geylang Serai!!! It's Hari Raya soon~~ Kinda hard to find the place especially it's the first time visiting, and we alighted quite far from the place. I had to ask one Malay lady and she was kind enough to give me the directions~~

I was amazed by the size of the pasar malam when we reach there. It covers almost the whole street of Changi Road with merchandise like carpets, clothing, curtains and bags along with yummy food like otar, chicken wings, nasi briyani and all-time favourite Ramli buger!!

Oh yeah! I bought something interesting while walking the bazaar. It's called Dengdeng. Thin slices of beef grilled on top of the hot charcoal, just like bak gua!!! So nice and tender!!! Price ranging from $3/100grams to $4/100grams.

Mum bought some snacks and crackers before catching a bus home. Another tired day. *Yawnz*

Slacking at work today.

Somewhere before knocking off, I was chatting with my colleagues near their workstations when one of my colleague was commenting that the attire I put on outside office is so different from what wear at work. Hahahaha~~ I was thinking "duh~~ of course it has to be different lah!!" But then, I probably understood what he meant. Afterall, he had seen my dressing during weekends when I was out with my friends. Furthermore, I was in a "punk" look at that time. Muahaha~~

Didn't go gym today as planned. Stayed at home to watch TV programmes instead.

Hohoho~~ Gonna be quite busy tomorrow~~

Gym @ 1000hrs
Sentosa @ 1300hrs
Late Lunch @ 1530hrs
Movie @ 1630hrs
Meet Philip and friends @ 1830hrs

Yey~~ Out of the house and get the weekend air!! =P
Damn it! Bought this mahjong game months ago and still cannot play with it.
I basically followed every single instructions given by the website and it still can't work!
Installed Chinese reading program, updated DirectX, updated video codecs!! Fark man! Still a black screen when opening the program!!!

Mailed to them weeks ago and no reply from them. Other people who bought similar games from their company also faced this problem, and they posted in the game company forum for answers however no reply from them too!!! WTF!!!

Have they closed down or what?? So unprofessional of them!!! Produced games and exported to other countries, got problems yet not gonna do anything about it!!

Everyone out there!!! DO NOT BUY STAR MAHJONG 1 2 3!!!

Your Seduction Style: The Coquette

You are a pro at playing the age old game of hard to get.
Your flirting style runs hot and cold, giving just enough to keep them chasing you.
Independent and self-sufficient, you don't need any one person to make you complete.
And that independence is exactly what makes people pursue you.

I was surfing DREAMWORKS website earlier on, to see if there are any nice movies coming up. Surprisingly, they are producing more and more romance genre movies since.. erm.. The Terminal? Haha~~

Oh.. oh.. Then I spotted three movies that I'm interested in!!

The Prize Winner Of Defiance, Ohio
Evelyn Ryan is a devoted housewife and mother of ten in the 1950s. Her husband can't seem to make ends meet, but that doesn't stop the car from breaking down, the mortgage coming due and the bills from piling up. It falls to Evelyn to defy the conventions of the day and find a way to keep her family together with the odds stacked against them. Applying her remarkable resourcefulness and an uncommon wit, Evelyn finds her own way in the profitable jingle contests popular in the 1950s and '60s.

Saw the trailer, it's some kind of heart-warming comedy. Not bad. Shall go watch.

Over The Hedge
This tale centers on a mischievous con-artist raccoon named R.J. and a sensitive turtle named Verne. When R.J., Verne and their woodland friends find a suburban housing development encroaching on their forest home, Verne's first instinct is to retreat into his shell and leave. But the ever-opportunistic R.J. sees a treasure trove to be had from his unsuspecting new neighbors. Together, Verne and R.J. form an unlikely friendship as they learn to co-exist with -- and even exploit -- this strange new world called suburbia.

Yet another cool animation once again by DreamWorks!! Yey~~ From the creaters of Shrek and Madagascar, brings you Over The Hedge! So funny watching the trailer!! Confirm gonna watch it even alone!!! Hahaha~~

Transformers The Movie
The Earth is caught in the middle of an intergalactic war between two races of robots, the heroic Autobots and the evil Decepticons, which are able to change into a variety of objects, including cars, trucks, planes and other technological creations.

Not much info about this movie since trailer is not even out yet. ETA should be 4 July 2007. Hahaha~~ Two years from now.

My eyes have seen quite a few phrases and words online recently. They made me start to analyse about how a person actually think or feel towards certain stuff like love, relationships or even life.

I saw this phrase "nobody is perfect, accept the flaws". What message could he/she be trying to bring across to us? Is he/she telling some friends or the loved one? If it's the loved one that the person is trying to convey the message to, shouldn't he/she be trying to eliminate flaws for the better instead of telling the other party to accept it?

Another phrase I saw is "When will love come for me?". Hmm.. Not much comments on this though. Just wondering when will the person be making the move to go for the love he/she wants.

"if have to wait, i will" is the one that I've seen for some time. Wait? Waiting for what? Something that he/she is going to expect to happen? Waiting for the chance to fall in love? Waiting for the chance to do something?

Last but not least, "Human beings do forgive, Consequences don't". I like this phrase. No doubt that human beings can forgive the person after a mistake was made, however the consequences that was being resulted in the mistake made will never be erased off their mind. In future this makes them becoming wary of the party who is at fault, even though forgiveness has been acted upon.

Geez.. What's wrong with me? All these long entries and postings? Sigh.. Wasting my braincells doing all these unnecessary stuff. I should be relaxing man!! =

I don't know what had gotten into me. I surfed a few websites about long distance relationship, reading up past successful experiences and tips to maintain one.

Well, in fact just base on own common sense, one should know that the most important factor is Communication.
Without communication with your loved one, especially when he's miles away from you, what could be further than that? We are no psychics that can read each other's mind. I was thinking at times, why should I be doing something else while I'm chatting with my boyfriend? Sacrificing that bit of my time just to let him have my attention is so important! Same applies to me when I very much wanted to tell him what had happened today, or even just a simple "I miss you alot and I love you".

Trust and Respect. Insecurity is the last thing that I want to display in front of him. I don't wana start wondering where should he be instead of going somewhere or who is he going out with. Full stop.

Last but not least is Honesty. I'm glad that he talks about our relationship once a while, telling me how he feels. I also wanted to improve our relationship, but as a man of few words, my mind goes blank whenever I think of such stuff.

I know it's not easy to maintain one. Yet I had chosen to start it, not because I want to prove idiots wrong, not because that I want to try once and definately not because out of pity. Yeah.. Like my friend Roger said, "Love is blind." I had blinded myself willingly for I was shot with love arrows by the Cupid Angel. Hahaha~~ =P

Aww man! Having a terrible headache right now while blogging!!

Visited my mum's uncle at Bt Batok today. He's celebrating his 73rd birthday today so there're food and drinks to go along. His place is kinda stuffy and spent 45min of train riding without a good seat to sleep, thus resulting a terrible headache that I'm suffering now.

Read from Raven's blog that he had an accident and injured his head. Hope he's recovering.

Fark! Tomorrow have to be in office by 9am!! Got audit!!! Shit man!!!!

Just finished chatting with Ivan online. Sigh.. Miss him so badly.
Eyes getting sleepy, even though had a nap earlier on. Shall sleep soon after this post.

Yesterday's chalet was quite fun. Discussion and sharing session with invited guests, followed by mini games like Win, Lose or Draw and similar games from Super Sunday. One of the OOs treated us early dinner at McDonald's after the chalet thingy had been rounded up.

Geez. 2.30am already.
Gotta give Ivan wake-up call at 7.30am, go gym at 10.30am, meet the guys at chalet at 2.00pm.

I think I shall go home to sleep early after that.

*yawnz*
