明明死路自家寻 浪说情深孽更深
好借妖魔看美色 休欺神鬼动邪心
阳台一梦欢何有 阴律三章惨不禁
为问淫人妻女者 谁甘妻女被人淫

Because of you...

Because of you

I never stray too far from the sidewalk

Because of you

I learned to play on the safe side so I don't get hurt

There can be miracle, when you believe...

Many nights we pray

With no proof anyone could hear

And our hearts a hopeful song

We barely understood

Now we are not afraid

Although we know there's much to fear

We were moving mountains long

Before we know we could

There can be miracles

When you believe

Though hope is frail

It's hard to kill

Who knows what miracles

You can achieve

When you believe

Somehow you will

You will when you believe

In this time of fear

When prayer so often proves in vain

Hope seems like the summer birds

Too swiftly flown away

And now I am standing here

My heart's so full I can't explain

Seeking faith and speaking words

I never thought I'd say

There can be miracles

When you believe (When you believe)

Though hope is frail

It's hard to kill

Who knows what miracles

You can achieve (You can achieve)

When you believe

Somehow you will

You will when you believe

They don't always happen when you ask

And it's easy to give in to your fear

But when you're blinded by your pain

Can't see your way safe through the rain

Thought of a still resilient voice

Says love is very near

There can be miracles (miracles)

When you believe (When you believe)

Though hope is frail

It's hard to kill

Who knows what miracles

You can achieve (You can achieve)

When you believe

Somehow you will

You will when you believe

You will when you believe

You will when you believe

Just believe

You will when you believe

Michael Jackson (1958 - 2009)

Michael Joseph Jackson, a superstar singer who did not want to grow up and so he related himself as Peterpan, passed away on 25 June 2009. He was 50 year old. When I saw the news announcement on that very night while I was having supper, I couldn't believe it. I thought, "Michael Jackson died? So fast? So sudden?" News of his passing then poured in one after the other on the subsequent days and weeks. Cause of death, what happened, his family, children, his fortune and his pasts.

No doubt that I'm not a MJ fan, but indeed I grow up with his songs during my teenage years. His songs are the first few English songs that I've heard when I was much younger, be it from radio or my elder sister's player. From his 1982 "Billie Jean" to 1991 "Black or White" to 2002 "You Rock My World", and other of his famous songs like "We Are The World" and "Heal The World" which I have a liking for it because of MJ's simple and pure intention to bring the "World Peace" message out to the whole world as a humanitarian. The song is just so familiar to me whenever or wherever it was played. And yes, not to forget his ever popular Moonwalk and gravity-defying dance moves.

And it is so cool to even have him as game character during the 1980s. Michael Jackson tossing a coin into the jukebox to start the game and his chimpanzee partner would fight alongside with him. His attack moves are throwing his hat to a distance and hit the enemies, or his super attack will be the group dance move from his song "Smooth Criminal" where every enemy will die after dancing with him.

Watching MJ's 7 July 09 Memorial Service at the Staples Centre in LA (where he is supposed to stage his comeback concert) streaming live on CNN.com, I've never thought that I'd cry for him. Millions of people in USA witnessed the Service, billions of people all over the world witness the Service. His families, relatives, friends, fans, celebrities such as Mariah Carey, Jennifer Hudson, Brooke Shields, Queen Latifah and many more came to attend the Service. He has already earned the fame from all his fans, and so he is known as "The world's greatest entertainer ever lived". The Memorial Service is probably the largest Service in the entertainment history, maybe bigger than Elvis Presley's. It was an honour to witness such an event, where so many people celebrated his life and commemorate his passing.

And so I shall say thank you for the songs which make me difficult to forget you.

Good Bye Michael Jackson, Wacko Jacko, King of Pop, whatever you are remembered as.

Random updates

Travelled to Penang and Hat Yai to eat and sightsee during mid June. Mainly temples because the trip was organised by my elder sister from RC whereby most of the participants are housewives and middle-aged ladies. Haha. But they are sure fun to travel with! And not to forget, eating bowls and bowls of bird's nest in Hat Yai cannot be compared with Bangkok.

Went for a long run recently from Fort Road to Bedok Jetty and back which I think it took me almost 2 hours to complete. The run was good, although I think I need to take up more of such distance to get used to it.

Went for my IPPT last Monday, and got a Pass only although I was aiming for a Silver. The killer station is Standing Broad Jump, so it's time for me to train my leggies~ Nevermind, I shall aim for my shooting since I can't get my incentive for IPPT. *hmmph*

Watched Tansformers 2 last Friday which I think it was very good! However it was the typical US patriotic-America-save-the-world plot, other than that the visual effects and shooting is terrific. I like it!

Had my durian trip last Saturday, up to Tangkak which is near to Malacca. This trip was organised by my elder sister, again, because her friends requested for it almost immediately after our Penang/Hat Yai trip. We tasted different types of durians from D2, D13, D24, D82, D101, ice cream, 猫山王 and 金凤. Then we went to Tebrau Jusco for coffee before heading for our dinner to end our day. Planning for my next Malaysia trip in mid July.... lol

Q: Should I carbo-load one week before the marathon?

Yes carbo-loading is definitely essential, though it varies for everyone. To put it simply, it actually involves starving the body of carbohydrates first before going into a week-long diet that comprises largely of carbohydrates. When to starve, when to eat and what to eat definitely varies for everyone. If you’re getting serious in races and would like to take your training to the next level, speak to a nutritionist for best results.
