Q: Should I carbo-load one week before the marathon?

Yes carbo-loading is definitely essential, though it varies for everyone. To put it simply, it actually involves starving the body of carbohydrates first before going into a week-long diet that comprises largely of carbohydrates. When to starve, when to eat and what to eat definitely varies for everyone. If you’re getting serious in races and would like to take your training to the next level, speak to a nutritionist for best results.
