I can't really say how I would react since I don't know the whole situation.... but I do know that one shouldn't blame himself for such things in general... there is no right or wrong here...
besides, would things necessarily turn out better had you reacted in another way?
Its nice to have someone dote on you but if the other party is passive. there is nuthing to be change unless u be more active if not a r/s will not works well.
when you really loved someone, being active is something you would do naturally... however, when u are truly in love with someone, you'll also naturally wish to be passive no matter how active you are as a person.
one thing to note... past history is for us to learn from, not to be a burden to us...
whatever you had done, it's done... best to think of the future, the possible consequences it'll yield. try to reduce the time reflecting on it if you can.
the first step to anything is always the most difficult barrier to overcome. you wouldn't know till you try.

hmm, love isnt all noble, anw. if u didnt want to keep him by ur side, then u shud start worrying.
