The Moth That Plays Dead

I remembered when I came back home last weekend, I saw a moth on the wall along my corridor. The moth was at a height that can only be reached with the help of a ladder. The moth has a size of my palm, real big. It has been a long time since such moths flew to my block.

Few nights back, the moth flew into my unit. It flew around the kitchen area before it rested on the radio speakers above my refridgerator. I didn't know where it went to after that. I had slept.

This morning when I came out of my unit for work, I saw the same moth along the corridor again. This time, it's dead. Obviously, because it was lying on its back. It didn't move at all, even when the chill wind blew. I wonder what happened to it.

I came back from my gym session earlier on. I had my dinner as well, very full. When I came out of the lift and up the staircase, what was on the ceiling along the corridor was that moth again. It did not die. I was glad and at the same time, puzzled. I wondered, were my eyes playing tricks on me this morning? Or was it another moth?

Nevertheless, because to me, it's the same moth. The moth that plays dead.
